My Father's Past (preview)

Chapter Two:  (excerpt)

     Several months passed as I grew into the wolf I would become, a copy of my father.   Instead of black fur, however, mine was silver.  Even at half a year old, my large frame equaled that of our mighty alpha.  It was whispered around the pack that I would grow larger and that perhaps, I did have a chance at become alpha.  

     I snarled at these comments, not wishing to take my father’s place or dishonor him with their talk.  My greatest tutor, Father taught me everything from pack etiquette to successful, and unsuccessful, hunting strategies.  I asked him why he taught me both and he explained it to me.
